FRONTIER FAMILY FEUD
In commemoration of the 100 year anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, the League of Women Voters of Umpqua Valley commissioned Frontier Family Feud, a musical based on the relationship between the “mother of equal suffrage”, Abigail Scott Duniway, and her brother, Oregonian editor Harvey Scott. This 40 minute musical breathes life into these dynamic historical figures and reveals some of the complexity of their sibling relationship. The musical was created for live public and school performances to bring both history and music to audiences of all ages. Given the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions in 2020, it was also designed so that it could be staged to keep actors physically distanced.
